About Us

Since 1920

rega and its iconic ‘spray pattern” logo have been well-known in the Australian agricultural, horticultural and pest management industries for over 100 years.

In its heyday, the rega name and logo appeared on many items that most people found essential: pneumatic sprayers, engine driven piston pumps, knapsack sprayers, garden sprayers and bucket pumps.

It also appeared on many other items, some of which people may remember; others would be surprised to know that rega once manufactured oil cans, 45-gallon barrel sprayers, rotary and hand-operated dusters, continuous sprayers and even a football pump.

Custom manufacturing for the Pest Control Industry.

Back in the 1940’s they even manufactured door closers, along with a surprising array of nozzles, shut-off valves, all specially designed for use on farms, greenhouses and domestic properties.

If you needed to spray a pest insect or a plant, chances are, it was with a rega.

Surprisingly the company even held a patent for a portable flamethrower during the second World War years. They eventually redesigned this unit, and it was marketed as a solution to controlling blackberry and lantana, burning fire breaks and – believe it or not – exterminating rabbit and grasshopper plagues!

The famous rega “NUSS” (9L), “NUPET (8L) and the more recent “STUMPY (5L) were still available from the original designs well into the 2000’s.

A glance through old catalogues shows an amazing array of equipment that was well-designed and researched – all these items performed well and were backed up with a huge range of spare parts.

So, when the opportunity for Garrards, a wholly Australian owned -and-operated company, to link up with the  rega name and its associated sprayers and equipment came up, it was an ideal match.  A lot of the old-time sprayers are now no longer available, but the design and research hasn’t stopped.

We have redesigned most of the specialist pest management sprayers and updated just the right bits.  We have new products in the wings and the work continues to thoroughly test each one before releasing it – only the best gets the rega logo. In a world that’s constantly changing, rega stands as a beacon of continuity, a symbol of resilience and adaptability. From vintage sprayers to wartime contributions and its present-day prominence in pest control, rega Pt Ltd. weaves a narrative that transcends time, celebrating a heritage that’s deeply rooted in craftsmanship, perseverance, and the unwavering commitment to excellence.
